DIY Cake Pop Boxes

You will need: â€‹

  • Small cookie scoop or tablespoon

  • Small spatula or spoon

  • Microwave

  1. Scoop your dough into even balls using the tablespoon or small cookie scoop. It should make 8-10 balls

  2. Once scooped with clean hands roll the dough into even balls. You want to get them as smooth as possible!

  3. Melt your chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals. We suggest about 1 - 1.5 minutes total. You want to make sure you mix the chocolate using the small spatula or spoon in between each interval as this helps it not burn. Its okay if the chocolate is not completely melted. 90% melted is perfect! The residual heat will work its magic melting the rest while you are doing the next steps.

  4. Using the melted chocolate, dip the stick in about 1cm and then insert all the way into the cake pop. Repeat for all your cake pop balls

  5. You should now have nice smooth chocolate that runs off the spatula/spoon in a consistent stream. If you do not have this the chocolate is too hot or too thick. If too thick, add a teaspoon of vegetable oil to thin. If too hot let it sit at room temp for a few minutes and then re-mix. It's time to dip the cake pops! Insert them into the chocolate and gently turn until they are fully coated.

  6. Set them down on the parchment paper and sprinkle away!

  7. The cake pops will remove cleanly from the parchment paper. Enjoy!
